hope everyone is ok :flower: and thanks for any relpys

They wont really do much at the doctors, mine just asked if i was happy to go ahead with it and referred me onto a midwife who contacted me a couple of days later with an appointment for about 10 weeks. I didn't go to the doctors until about 7 weeks though so you might have a longer wait until they get in touch.

I've not really had many symptoms either. Felt sick from 6 to 9 weeks then i was ok again. Not sure it will ever feel real! Oh and congratulations!

 Hi Sammy! Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I'm 19 too, pregnant with my second. I already have a little girl who's a year old. I'm just in Essex so not majorly far lol.

Your first doctors appointment, they might want you to make a urine sample so they can do another pregnancy test (I had to with my first pregnancy but not my second). I expect they will ask how you feel with your pregnancy, whether you are keeping it. They might start filling in forms, depending on whether they like to do i t a bit and telling you what to expect throughout your pregnancy. I further on in the pregnancy as you are still very early) expect they'll leave it a bit later on, but they will eventually put a form in to book you for your first scan. You'll need to book another doctors appointment for around 8 weeks (I believe that's the norm.. but it really depends on the area and doctors.) You may find the doctors don't actually do alot this appointment at all considering you are so very early on, and you'll just talk and then book a later appointment.

Hmm.. I'd say when you can feel movements, that's when it feels real. And when you're bump starts. Which tends to be around 18 weeks.. maybe earlier.

xoxox

welcome to BnB, you find that symptoms wont really kick in until 6 weeks + as it takes a while for hormones to have an affect on you, hopefully you won't get bad morning sickness and the headaches calm down :flower:

doctor will refer you to a midwife who will either call you or write to you, it varies from place to place but mostly they will not see you until you are 8 weeks for your booking appointment and then after that you'll get a letter in the post for your 12 week scan, might sound like a while away but time flies by!

welcome and congrats! I'm 19 and having my first too. I didn't have any symptoms until 20 weeks and I found out I was pregnant at 19 weeks lol cuz I'm a fool. They'll prolly just have you pee in a cup lol

hey thanks girls, nice to meet u all :flower:

im thinking of telling my mum today, but im so scared, she will be so angry and probably want to kill me :haha:

im planning on keeping the baby and not gonna let anyone change my mind :happydance:

im waiting for the morning sickness to kick in, but hope i dont get it, but i know my mum had it really bad when she was pregnant, so i might not be lucky :nope:

welcome & congratulations on your pregnancy :)
i'm Sophie, 19 & expecting my first. it took a while to seem real for me as I didn't get too many symptoms in the beginning, but you'll soon realise how many changes your body is going through :) xx

I'm 19 (20 on Fri though) and expecting my first.

At my first docs appointment he didn't really do much, just told me I was 7 weeks and gave me a number to contact a midwife to arrange an appointment. He was crap though, according to the midwife I was only 5 weeks and he just couldn't do maths. :haha: I wasn't made to take a second pregnancy test, they just ask when your last period was etc x x

welcome :) and congrats

for me it still doesnt really feel real.. it probably wont until im holding my baby :)

im Shannon, 20 years old and pregnant with my first baby :D if you have any questions feel free to PM me

Congrats and welcome!!

My name's Treslyn and I'm 17 and 40+5 weeks pregnant! I'm having my little girl this week!

I didn't actually KNOW I was pregnant until I was about 7 weeks but my first appt. at 8 weeks they did a ultrasound to make sure LO was ok, but I would trusitt the other girls that they may give you another test just in case!

Also, it should slowly start to get more real for you. First with your first ultrasound, when you actually see bubs and then when you first his/her heartbeat, then the kicking and your 20 week scan and so on! Like I said, I'm almost 41 weeks and it's still not completely real for me! It probaby won't be until she's in my arms! :haha:

Have a wonderful time on here, all the ladies are unbelieveably lovely and if you have any questions feel free to PM me!
