just got first period since before pregnant (questions)

i'm confused. does this mean my supply is lower now? i thought the idea was that as long as you are producing a lot of milk you won't get your period. LO is almost 13 months. Also, she seems fussy and I read that some women's milk supply lowers just while pmsing… was this true for you?

I still had a ton of milk when I started my period at 10 months pp with my last dd. She still nursed 8 times a day or so. But yes many women do notice a drop in supply a few days before their period starts. I didnt notice my first couple cycles, but after that I did notice a little. I still nursed her as often because I knew if I supplemented then when my hormones regulated and my supply went back to normal that the supplementing would mean my supply wouldnt come back as full as it should. My periods were irregular while I continued to nurse
