Just got the trigger shot...

I had an ultrasound around 12:30 today and the ultrasound lady didn't give me exact measurements or anything, but I had to wait there while she called my doctor across the street to see if I needed to go over.

Well, he wanted me to come over so the nurse could give me the Ovidrel hcg trigger shot. The nurse said we should BD 36 hours from the shot (so about 1:30am on Wednesday morning).

I was thinking about BDing tonight at about 7:30 when DH gets home, then again at 1:30am Wednesday morning, and then again when DH wakes up for work Wednesday morning.

Is there better timing than that? Not sure how to play this now that I've gotten the shot.

BTW I am also on Clomid 100mg that I took days 5-9 (aug 5-9).

That sounds like great timing! Good luck, how many follicles did you have? When i got the ovidrel shot i could feel the moment I ov'd , it was kinda cool. It really makes you feel the ovaries! Seems like the BD today and the BD wed early are your key times, i read that our dh's sperm counts and quality are fine for BD'ing two days in a row, but the third and fourth times they start to loose quality and quantity. Fingers crossed, exciting . . . .

Not sure what to say about bding. I would continue every other day and just make sure you bd at 1:30 wed. and before he goes to work and try again that night and maybe even the next morning. I know that is a wholeeee lot, but i mean anything after 1:30am couldn't hurt right?

p.s are you going to test the trigger out?

I might test it out. I did test this morning to see how strong it would be, I think it'll be SEVERAL more days until it's out of my system. So weird seeing a BFP though and knowing it's just from the shot. :/

I actually just received the HCG trigger injection on Thursday at noon. Doctor told us to BD that day and as much as possible on Friday. I keep reading how we ovulate after about 36 hours post shot and I am wondering why I was told to start BDing so quickly. :/ I will say though that I was in so much pain Thursday and Friday, I know it sounds crazy, but I could feel my ovaries. So I don't know, maybe I O'd on Friday. CM was stringy and consisted of an egg white. We BD Thursday night, Friday after work and before bed, then again on Saturday morning. I am hoping we timed it alright! Any info or feedback is very much appreciated! Baby dust to you all!!

I just got my first ever trigger shot today at 1 pm. FS told me to bd tomorrow and early wed morning but we wont be able to bd that early on weds. It would have to be wed afternoon. so we did today and will do tomorrow, i hope its enough

I had severe abdominal pain on the day after receiving the shot. Best way to describe it... not like cramps and it was almost as if I could feel my ovaries. I know that may sound crazy....but I just felt really heavy and very sore in that area. I have heard of breasts and nipples being sore, but mine weren't until yesterday which was 4 days post shot. The only other symptom I had that I noticed was bloating.

I am praying it works this time for myself and all of you! I feel like hubby and I timed it perfectly, but who knows... Good luck to you all- I hope you all get your this month!
