Just had 34 week 3d scan - should I be worried

I had a 3d scan yesterday at 34 weeks and our baby girl is very very chubby!

The sonographer kept commenting on it and asked if I had diabetes... i just scraped into what is considered non GD and the hospital has not monitored me on this. I hate to admit that I haven't been following any diet whilst pregnant, there have been a lot of stressors with moving and other stuff happening & I have consumed sugary treats. However, I don't feel that I have gained any extra weight myself besides the baby bump. But I'm scared that I have not done the right thing during pregnancy & there may be health complications for my girl. I would load a photo of her but I feel weird about everyone commenting on her.

Good news is she is in the right position but I'm just really worried about her weight. Please offer any advice or comments.

At 34 weeks, a 3D scan shows a chubbier baby. My son looked very chubby in his 34 week 3D, and he was only 8lb 5oz at birth. Maybe you can talk to your doctor about this. I'm sure he/she will have a better answer for you.

My baby was very chubby at my 3d scans at 29+3 and 32+3. But she's normal weight...did they give you an estimated weight? Here's a couple pics from my scan, you can see how big her cheeks are and she still had a couple months to go at that point!

Also a newborn pic of me...my family has chubby babies lol! I was 8 lb 1oz though.

aww jess your baby from ultrasound is super cute! Im sure your baby is perfectly healthy! btw how did you get an ultrasound this late in pregnancy?? I am high risk and had alot up til 24 weeks and none since. is there a way i can get one??

Thanks very much girls. It doesn't make a lot of sense as my fundal height is measuring almost 2 weeks behind & the midwife commented on a small baby during my last check-up. I wasn't a big baby & my other half was although I'm not sure if he was born that way or from him mum over feeding him.

Sometimes they make comments without thinking. I just had a 32 week growth scan and she measured the head 3 times and seemed a bit flustered and kept saying oh ill just check that again. His head is nearly off the chart, had i previously not had 2 very big headed babies id be worrying myself silly.

They just dont seem to think.

yes I agree, they don't think. I had a 3d at 28 wks and he kept asking me was I sure I was only 28 wks, that the baby was massive. he really made us worry. Then when I had my growth scan, all is normal, within the normal average range.
regardless of size once they are healthy who cares. x
