Hi ladies...DH and I have been TTC for 3 months. I've been suspecting that I might have a progesterone deficiency for the last year or so and actually used natural progesterone cream for a month before TTC and noticed improvement in my PMS symptoms (bloating, weight gain, breast tenderness and swelling). I stopped taking it when we decided to start TTC because I didn't really know if I had low progesterone and thought it best if we just did everything naturally. Well, this cycle I got a faint BFP at 10dpo, 11dpo and 12dpo but it wasn't getting darker. Yesterday at 12dpo I started spotting. BFN today. Big temp drop and AF arrived this evening.
I'm pretty heartbroken as I'm sure you can all understand. I'm happy to know we can get pregnant but now I'm scared that my body can't support a pregnancy. I have almost every symptom of low progesterone (breast tenderness and swelling, bloating, weight gain, extreme PMS - was diagnosed with PMDD a few years ago, low BBT, slow rise after ovulation, shortish luteal phase (12 days with spotting starting at 10dpo), low cholesterol (but normal weight), thyroid function on low normal end, and now early miscarriage).
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what you've done to treat it / if you've gone on to have a successful pregnancy? When I saw my general doctor a year ago she told me I was "grasping at straws" and basically that she didn't think anything was wrong with me.
