the drink wasn't that bad, but the 1 hr wait was. UGH.
Hopefully the results come back fine tomorrow so I don't have to go through the 2 hr one.

Yep, the wait was SO LONG. When I went for my 1hr I went with a friend who had to do her 3hr, so I was there a LONG time..and I fasted cause she had to...sympathy fasting, lol. I hope your results come out perfect!

I just had mine today too! Drink was not bad at all. Definately hated the wait!

I love the drink

The wait does suck, I didn't bring anyone or anything last time with my son, so this time I was prepared! I brought a romance novel muahaha.
Hope your results come back normal and you don't have to go back hon! :hugs:

hiya, i havnt had this yet, why do u have to wait so long and what is the drink all about ? i guess il have to do one aswell ???

the drink is just a known amount of sugar-50 g. you drink it and your blood is taken after one hour just to see how your body is processing the sugar.done from 24-18 weeks, sometimes earlier if there are any concerns.

They're generally done around 24-26 weeks (mine was early cause I'm overweight and have family history of typeII diabetes). You drink this really sweet orangey drink, wait an hour, then they do a blood test to see where your sugar levels are at to rule out gestational diabetes. They have to wait the hour to see how your body is metabolizing the sugar.
