I have had an awful pregnancy, heavy bleeds at 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks then spotting until 14 weeks and that week I had three heavy bleeds. The last one on Monday started being watery and I recognised the smell of my waters.
Went to a&e, had regular pains but not too bad over a few hours. Pain all stopped went to the toilet before I was discharged and passed my baby.

So I was admitted and had d&c yesterday as I didn't pass my placenta.

So I realise now it was my waters and then contractions. But I don't know why? My worry is I had LLETZ over 2 years ago (after my dd) so could this be IC?
Surgeon mentioned that probably due to my placenta - which they think could have been the cause of my bleeds.

I am going home today - but who can I get this info from? I am just worried about it happening again if we try again
Thanks

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: I am so sorry for your loss.
I don't know what you have been through, but I lost my Ava at 20 weeks and they tested her tissue and it didn't grow  so i will never know why she passed. I gave birth also but I was 40 and the doctor told me he is 90% sure it was chromosomal. How he can say this is beyond me, testing proves things and in my case it proved nothing. So I will never know why I lost her.
You should get in contact with your doctor and press him as to why this may have happened, I am sorry I don't have any info for you. I had 3 healthy boys they are 20,17 and almost 12 so I don't know why I lost Ava, cause I was older, cause something was wrong? I hope you get some answers and again I am so deeply sorry. If you ever need a friend I am always here..XOOXOO

i am so so sorry for your loss hun... im sure they will do a follow up appointment with you in a few weeks hun and they should explain everything to you at that. did they do bloods etc on you?you will get all results at that appointment too. between now and then i would write down any questions you have so that when you do go in you wont get too overwhelmed.

in the meantime anything you need we are all here for you hun xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks to those who replied - I am going in to see my GP next week but that's it, no follow up or anything. I lost my baby 5 hours from home on a business trip so it is tricky because I was so far out of my area :(

Didn't want to read and run hun, but i'm sorry for your loss. xxx

Hi, I'm sorry for your loss :hugs: I would imagine your GP should be able to answer a lot of these questions, and there should be some sort of follow up with your own hospital and a specialist there once the results and info are sent over from the hospital you were at.

I know it's hard, but sometimes there is no cause, and that in many ways can be harder than dealing with a recognized problem, so be prepared for that. I was never given a reason, but was told that it is a good thing, in that there is no reason for it to happen again. I was like you, having intermittant bleeding for weeks before it became my waters, and it was all over at 16 weeks.

I hope the coming weeks are gentle on you :hugs:

i am very sorry for your loss as i hits close to home. i lost my son at 18 weeks due to placenta previa, i had severe bleeding. i know its very scary and hard. i know in most cases before 20 weeks they dont suggest tests or autopsies, in my case i was given the option and i chose not to have any tess done because it didnt make my pregnancy or my son any less validated or not. ive done a lot of research tha suggests many women go on to have healhy normal pregnancies, though it is sill a risk. wait 5-6 months before ttc so your body can heal. many women including myself still have many signs/symptoms of pregnancy up to a year after a late miscarrage.

google is a wonderful world but always refere questions back to your dr.
