Just lost my bean :( but what now?

Hi ladies, I lost my little bean yesterday at 6w2d but now I have no idea what happens next? Does anyone here have experience of TTC immediately after a miscarriage? When am I likely to O? Did anyone here get preg really quickly after a loss? Do I take this bleed as AF and count from there or is O day guesswork now!?

Hey honey, first i am so sorry to hear about your lose. If you had a D&C they say you should wait for at least one cycle, i didnt wait and caught before my AF after the D&C, as you didnt have a D&C there is no reason why you should wait, its all down to how you feel, some women need time before trying again others just want to be pregnant as soon as possible. your cycle may reset it self quickly and its possible to catch before your next AF. You lost early which means your HGC levels were low anyway so you could ovulate as normal, good luck honey xx

I would see this as a AF, thats how i saw the D&C...

I didn't try the cycle straight after my D&C, but I fell pregnant again on the second cycle after that

I had a D&C with a MMC in December, and then we started trying after my first cycle. But I agree with the others - if you didn't have a D&C and you feel up to it? What I was told is that then it is fine if you want to try (some docs recommend waiting a cycle tho to let your body recover a bit).

I'm sorry about your loss honey. I had a miscarriage back in May, and my doctor told me to wait two cycles. I waited and just now found I'm pregnant again. Apparently, you're more fertile after a miscarriage, but most doctors will advice to wait at least one cycle. I wish you the best of luck!

I have had 3 losses 1 was a natural miscarriage I was always told to wait anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks to have sex and some recommend 2-3 months for ttc. I personally feel after searching online and talking to my drs that waiting a little bit like a month to 3 months is best to give your body time to heal. If this is your 1st loss it maybe okay for you but I have heard getting pregnant too fast after a loss can make the risk higher for a miscarriage. Good luck!

sorry for your loss. i had 2 consecutive losses before this one. with the natural MC we were told we could start trying as soon as the bleeding stopped - we got prengnat on the second AF after. That one ended in a MC, and I had to have a D&C. we were told to wait one AF before trying.... but we ended up pregnant before AF arrived. Our biggest concern was that we were pregnant and told not to be pregnant by the surgeon..... so it was our first question when we saw our OBGYN and he said there is no medical concern at all or increased rate of MC getting preg. right after a D&C. after our dating scan, it looks like I O'd about 6 weeks after the D&C...counting the D&C as day 1. With the natrual MC i O'd on day 31, counting first day of MC as day 1.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have had 7 miscarriages and we've never purposefully waited after any of them (until my most recent which resulted in the loss of my tube, and we did wait 6 months), just let things come as they have. My cycles usually just returned to normal immediately. However, after my next to last loss in Nov. 2011, my ovulation date moved up to around CD9-11 and has stayed pretty consistent (that's why I got pregnant right after that one, because I totally wasn't expecting it).

i was told the first period i had after stopping bleeding was 1st af. i was advised to wait, for dating purposes if nothing else but realistically we started ttc as soon as i stopped bleeding. still took 3 cycles...but im now 30 weeks preg. im so sorry for your loss. do whatever u need to do hun...xxx

Sorry for your loss sweetie. I had a MC at 5 weeks 6 days on March 24th of this year. No D&C needed. My doc said she preferred if we waited so dating would be more accurate, but we didn't listen lol. I ovulated on day 19 of my cycle (i counted day one of bleeding as day one of cycle). I am now 20 weeks. Good luck sweetie!

Just make sure you feel ready and up for it hun. I had a MMC over a year ago at nearly 12 weeks. I didn't need a D&C but waited nearly 6 months until I felt I had adequate time to grieve and collect my thoughts. But obviously it is different for everybody and no amount of time will ever make you forget your little bean. I wish you a happy and healthy next pregnancy!
