hey! im new on here and I just need to get everything out. I have been trying for 2 long years, and unfortunately there has been many problems. I found out 6 months after starting to try that I had PCOS which was why I wasn't having periods. went through the usual apps to find out that they wouldn't do anything to help me until I lost weight. so I went away and in 10 months lost 5 stone, my periods returned and ovulation seemed to start (getting pains in one side, mucus & temp showing signs) so I thought we were finally on our way. contacted my consultant who sent me my prescription for Clomid :) however, before I started it I found out I was pregnant... which last all of one week. my dr tells me its classed as a chemical pregnancy. So we decided to hold off on starting the clomid for a couple of cycles to see if I could do it on my own. this month I had no dramatic drop in temp but the pain started in my left side just over a week ago, but unlike previous cycles it hasn't gone away! have been experiencing pain for over a week in my left side and now I get a kind of dull shooting pain when I move too quickly or pick up something heavy. I spoke to my holistic therapist and she says this is normal because of what happened last cycle but I got the feeling she wasn't telling me something. I am due on in the next couple of days, by this point in every cycle I usually put on an average of 4lb which hasn't happened. is something wrong? has anyone else experienced any of this? sorry to waffle on I just feel so alone. xx

I have pretty bad ovulation pains. Sometimes they only last a few days, and other months they last all the way from ovulation to when AF gets here. It could also be a cyst. If the pain doesn't go away after AF gets here, I would give the doc a call...they should be able to do an ultrasound to see if there is anything abnormal. If it is a cyst, the change in hormones as your cycle ends should be enough to make it shrink and go away.

Firstly welcome to the forum, 2ndly congratulations and well done loosing the weight, not easy with pcos.
Your early loss at least proves your are now ovulating, its hard when you get that bfp just to loose it a few days later.
Apparently the first cycle after a loss you are extremely fertile. So you may well be pregnant but sometimes a loss can mess up your cycles for a while.
I'd hold off testing for another week or so and see what happens, early losses are so disappointing that i'd rather have AF than a BFP first.

thank you for your replies!! i was feeling very negative yesterday but feeling a little better today. im due on today but weighed myself this morning and have lost 5 lb in 2 days, I usually put on at least 4 lb just before I start my period. this happened last cycle when the CP took place so part of me is thinking a good sign but part of me is scared it will just be a repeat of last time. only time will tell I suppose. trying to keep my mind off of everything

I'm not too far behind you...AF is due tomorrow for me. Good luck to us both! :)

Glad you are feeling a bit better today. TTC is a frustrating process. Good luck.

just a quick update... was due yesterday but haven't come on. been having a slight pain in my left hand side (think that's the side I ovulated from this month) and feel as though I am bleeding but no sign yet. I have also lost more weight. anyone else feel/felt like this before? don't want to test just yet

Fingers crossed for you. Remember to post back when you get a result one way or other.

I'm pregnant! So scared now tho that I will lose it again after my chemical last month. Trying to relax and let my body do what's natural but I don't think I can handle it all being over so quickly again! Any advice?

Aw congratulations! I hope this is a sticky baby after such a long wait. I've been wondering if losing weight would help me conceive, but it's so hard! I don't have PCOS, but I do have insulin resistance which is the part of PCOS that usually makes it difficult to lose weight. This post gives me hope that it can happen, even after a long time of trying! I really hope this is it for you!!!

Congratulations! Sorry, I don't have any advice, I just hope this sticks for you :)

Losing the weight was extremely hard and the first 2 stone was horrible because I was miserable I was tired and always hungry but after that my stomach had shrunk so I couldn't eat as much as I used to. I no there a lot of diets out there that have worked for people but I found because of the problems with insulin the only way that worked for me was to only eat 1200-1500 kcal a day cut out as much pasta, bread and potatoes as possible (I was just having 1 piece of brown toast for breakfast with fruit and 1 small jacket potato with lots of salad for lunch) and exercise as much as you can. It was hard but so worth it, and even if it doesn't help you concieve directly it will make you feel confident and sexy! Best of luck and if you need anything else just let me know. Would love to be able to help others lose weight as well :)
Just a quick update I haven't had any bleeding and are now getting sore boobs and nausea so fingers crossed it has stuck! Going to do Nother test tomorrow just to check

Just checking back here to see how you were doing.
Congratulations and best wishes for a H&H 9 months.

I hope you've stuck around and moved on to the pregnancy forums, you will find it a great help to have others to talk to who are at the same stage as yourself.

Good luck.

Baby has stuck so far. Dr says I'm 6 1/2 weeks now and have to phone the midwife to book myself in. Still feeling very paranoid but it's getting better. Have been checking in but not posting, sure I will soon!! Xx
