Hello

My name is Charlene I am 21 years old, DH is 25. We have 2 children together aged 4 & 3, my eldest took 6 months to conceive and my youngest took 4 months to conceive, both boys, anyway April of this year I came off cilest contraceptive pill, in May I found out I was pregnancr using a IC and confirmed with bloods, only 4 days later I started to bleed and went back for more bloods and was told that I had miscarried, I spoke to the nurse and she told me it looks as though I have problems maintaining a pregnancy as my placenta failed with my youngest child and then the same thing happened with my miscarriage only this time before the baby had even had chance to implant, she told me it wouldn't be investigated until it had happened 3 times, anyway we have been tic now since then with no luck what so ever, literally DtD every single day last month.
AF was due on the 8th November and never made an appearance. But prior to this I figured something was "different" 3 days before AF. I had what felt like ov pain along with ewcm. So I decided to do a Ovulation test (currently using clear blue dual hormone) and surprise suprise peak fertility was displayed.
Then yesterday I decided to do a IC which came back strongly positive, so I went to my local chemist today bought a pack of 2 FRER and did them obviously expecting them to be positive. To my suprise they were both big fat negatives, I was really confused and didn't have a clue what could of happened. So I decided to do another OPK to make sure that the solid smiley was definetly ovulation and turns out it was as I got a blank circle.

I am so confused as to what's happened as I have always been as regular as clockwork but have been thinking for the past few months that I don't ovulate every single month only every few months. I am using the Ovia fertility app and that says I ovd on the 5th November even though AF was due on the 8th. I am 2 days late no sign of a period.

Could this be a sign of PCOS?

Was it a CLEAR positive, within the timeframe and not over?

If so, it could be that the IC is more sensitive than the FRER and you'll get another positive soon. Plus, first morning urine is often more concentrated, so that could be in play.

It could also be that you ovulated later than you thought this month. And one month of being a few days off in ovulation (or even MANY days) definitely does not mean you have PCOS. It could be stress of trying, or even just your body having an off month. That happens to most women at LEAST a few times in their lives, and TTC is stressful and can bring it on for sure!

So sorry to hear about your loss, that's incredibly hard and makes us all see fertility a bit differently for sure.

My suggestion would be to wait a day (or even a few days if you can stand it!!) and test again.
