My progesterone cream come in the post so I just started it today 500mg a day but I split 1/4 teaspoon morning then night I'm hoping this will work I've done a lot of research and a lot of people have said it works for them and some people said it hasn't so I guess I just have to wait and see. I'm on cd191 x

Anyone else used it to bring on Af?

Sounds like our situations are really similar. I can't help but will watch this thread to see what the answer is!

I am on CD100 after coming off Dianette!

It's so frustrating our charts look similar Have you tried vitex? Im on inositol and it's working wonders with my temps x

when I come of bc I had 2 regular cycles then they have been all over the place had a 113 day cycle not that long ago I come off bc I think it was July/June 2012.

Hope u get Af soon or even better a BFP x

I will keep updating on here x

When I came off the pill I went 6 months without a period and went to the doctor who immediately referred me to a fertility specialist (normally you have to be ttc for 2 years but they said that there was obviously issues with my hormones). It turns out that I have PCOS

To be honest, if you have issues with your hormones such that you haven't had a period in 6 months, then it is very likely that you won't be able to ovulate or conceive without help, even if you do manage to enduce a period with progesterone cream. I would get down the doctor now and at least get the fertility process started, giving the waiting lists etc

Sorry for being so blunt x

I just wanted to add that even when I had periods after taking progesterone pills (norethisterone) or after a failed clomid cycle, I wouldn't ovulate the next month unless I took clomid again - every time I took a break from clomid I would have to take norethisterone to induce a period in order that I could take the next round of clomid

x

Hey,

Yes I have been taking Vitex for nearly a month now, the first 2 weeks 1000mg per day, the next two 2000mg per day - so watch this space.

Star1, I don't totally agree with you. Of course, it depends on the reason WHY you are not ovulating.

I have been doing a LOT of research about PCOS over the last few days, and why you do not ovulate. A lot of it is attributed to insulin resistance, diet, and these affecting your levels of hormones.

Missbx our charts ARE really similar! Do you want to be buddies?
I have given myself a 3 month window before I try clomid, and during this time I am going to concentrate on a PCOS specific diet, and lots of exercise. I am also taking Metformin. Then, if that doesn't work, I will try Clomid.

The thing I believe about Clomid is that it forces you to ovulate, but it doesn't worry what your egg quality is like. If you have PCOS often your imbalance in hormone affects your egg quality - use clomid to force one out - often it isn't viable and ends in miscarriage.

So this way, I am hoping I am giving myself the best chances.

Yes I would love to be buddies  I've herd it takes at lest 3-4 months for vitex to get into your body hopefully you start seeing results fast. I've been on a diet and lost 20lbs so I'm hoping it will help with my cycles I've used soy Isoflavones but it seem to work for 1 cycle and then I think it may have delayed this cycle I'm not sure wether I should try it again. I have made a plan if progesterone don't work to induce Af then I will go back on the pill for 21 days to get a fake bleed as it's not good to not have a period for a while.

Clomid may work for you how long have your cycles been?

My boobs feel a tiny bit tender today will be using progesterone cream for 14days or until Af arrives.

I haven't even got any cycles yet! Since coming off the pill in December and having a withdrawal bleed I haven't bled again....

Hi, good luck with the progesterone cream, I hope it works for you! Can I ask where you got the cream from? :flower:

I done 2 opks today the one from last night was fairly dark Didn't take a pic
and this top one was from about 12 lunch time today and the bottom one was from about 5pm it's started getting lighter so I hope I either get ovulation and I've missed the surge or it could be dark because Af is on her way. https://i61.tinypic.com/29boy28.jpg

Could it be something to do with the progesterone cream? Those definately aren't positive, I have PCOS and get ones like that quite frequently.

Hopefully you missed it, and you ovulated!

I'm not sure I've stopped progesterone cream now and just started taking dong Quai every 4 hours so waiting to see if Af starts x
With dong quai it should start within 24hours x
How are you getting on ??

No difference as yet :(

The only slight difference I've noticed (sorry TMI) is that I normally get a lot of in growing hairs on my bikini line after waxing .... since this new 'regime' they are SO much better.

Don't know if it's related but I'm HOPING it might be because of less testosterone - softer hair? Who knows!?

Hopefully it's working sounds like its doing something x

My temps are slowly going up so I don't know what that's all about x and I've decided to carry on with the progesterone cream x

Last day of progesterone cream today x and I've ordered some Vitex tincture should be here tomorrow.

Hey ladies,

I have been taking vitex but I want to start the progesterone (cream?) anyways I'm VERY irregular, AF comes (maybe) 2 times a year! So after going to my GP she said she couldn't do anything (WE are TTC) until after a year of trying (with no BC or condoms or anything).
Anyways, I was reading this thread and wanted to know if progesterone cream worked for you and if and when you're taking vitex what's the dosage?

Vitex for me is 2 capsules a day which is 800 mg and been taking it for a week.

Hello Kaye,
I'm not sure if It did work might have been Vitex but the progesterone cream is Deffinatly worth a go it could have been the pc but not 100% sure the cream I applied it twice a day for 2 weeks and I used source naturals cream.

With the vitex I started off at about 900mg. A few days ago I started at 2,000mg and it seems to have made my temps really steady. I made a thread comparing my temps before and after vitex.

I hope Af or a BFP comes soon! x
