Hey,
Yes I have been taking Vitex for nearly a month now, the first 2 weeks 1000mg per day, the next two 2000mg per day - so watch this space.
Star1, I don't totally agree with you. Of course, it depends on the reason WHY you are not ovulating.
I have been doing a LOT of research about PCOS over the last few days, and why you do not ovulate. A lot of it is attributed to insulin resistance, diet, and these affecting your levels of hormones.
Missbx our charts ARE really similar! Do you want to be buddies?
I have given myself a 3 month window before I try clomid, and during this time I am going to concentrate on a PCOS specific diet, and lots of exercise. I am also taking Metformin. Then, if that doesn't work, I will try Clomid.
The thing I believe about Clomid is that it forces you to ovulate, but it doesn't worry what your egg quality is like. If you have PCOS often your imbalance in hormone affects your egg quality - use clomid to force one out - often it isn't viable and ends in miscarriage.
So this way, I am hoping I am giving myself the best chances.
