Yup! Went off BC in July. Started TTC #1 in August. We we on our second month. Testing 1st week of Oct. and hoping for BFP. We shall see.

Exciting! Are you using opks or just an app to track your cycles? I have just used a free app so far. Says I'm supposed to ovulate next week!

I'm just tracking cycle with online calender...not getting too crazy with it yet. lol

I was supposed to ovulate this week. Started tww today! Ahhh

I'm thinking my cycle will be all messed up too. I was on the pill for nearly 10 years, but I remember my cycle being like 6 weeks way back when so I don't know what to expect. Hope it's not still that long between af, will be so hard to wait to ovulate again. I'm not very patient! How did you guys find it coming off bc?

That's the exact same as me! I stopped bc the weekend just before you and used to be irregular way back when too! We'll have to compare notes. I'm impatient so I hope it doesn't take too long!

I was on bc for almost 7 years for being irregular...I stopped a little while back. I have been charting AF for 3 months on an app and so far I've had 31, 36, and a 32 day cycle. Not too bad but still hard to track ovulation due to it being different amount of days. This month we just decided to BD every other day but next month I might try some ovulation tests and temping to see how it goes. I'm hoping it works this month ( app says I ovulated between Monday and Today). I'm trying so hard to relax and be patient...it's soooo hard!

I went on the pill in high school do to painful and irregular periods. Was on the pill for 5yrs and then switched to the IUD, bc the pills gave me blood clots. AHH (I was the 4% who got them).

Anyway, I was on the IUD for 4yrs and just went off of it in July.

So far my periods have been like clockwork and not painful, which is super nice and something new. So far easy to track O days, assuming I am tracking them right. Just using Online Ovulation Calculator base on my period.

Started TWW the other day....Waiting sucks. I hope I can wait until Oct. 5/6th to test...but we will see.

Separate question: Any of you ladies have painful sex and pain after words (almost like period cramping) but worse during or around O days?

This is our first cycle trying so I'm not sure how long my cycle will be. On CD12 today so going to hopefully try most days this week since it could be any day now! If it doesn't work this month then hopefully should have a better idea next month.

Glad you are ok after blood clots! That is scary! They switched me off Yasmin a couple years ago because of the risk. Hope you get a bfp!

I haven't noticed any pain but I don't think I've ovulated yet.

Does anyone know if there are any signs or symptoms that you're ovulating that you can tell without opks?

I get a sharp pain on either my right or left side most months when I O. It will be a dull pain for a few hours followed by a sharp pain then goes away. You can also track cervical mucus and position as well. I dont check that because it confuses me, but for some people it works great! Good luck!

BTW: I was on Yasmin as well then when I found out about the risks I just stopped taking BC all together.

Last night I had pain in my right side during sex. I've heard others talk about pain on the right or left side around ovulation. Does this sound like I could've been ovulating? This was cd14, so if my cycle is normal sounds like it could be ovulation day??

Hi I stopped my bc on the 19th September but haven't had a bleed at all since. How long did u ladies wait for a bleed?

The last time I remember I had painful cramps right after the bd. I had just gotten a positive on my opk. I thought it was weird.

Yeah loulou, people have been talking about that so I'm thinking I must've been ovulating, I'm not using opks so don't know for sure, but it sounds like it right? Was CD14.

Loz10, did you go off bc at the end of your pack? I got my af the Wednesday after and stopped at the end of the pack, so took my last pill on the sat.

I'm in the same boat as you guys! Took my last active bcp 10 days ago...got a positive OPK today, do you think that's even possible? I mean, I'm excited, but skeptical I guess.

I would think it's possible! I'm trying to figure out when I'm ovulating right now too, haven't done opks though so it's hard. What were your cycles like before you were on the pill?
