Just turned 39 on Monday and ttc our second...do we have any chance??

Hello all. I'm 39 and my DH is 47...we have a fabulous dd aged 4 and always thought we just wanted one child...but for the past few months have a huge desire for one more. We used opks this cycle with positive opk on day 16 and dtd on days 6,9,13,15 and 17. Currently about 9 dpo and bfn today...usually 29 day cycle...do you really think we have any chance or are just too old and should count our blessings...honest answers would be much appreciated! Can't really talk to anyone else about this! Thank you for reading and good luck to you all xx

No way, Jose! You are not too old and you should definitely not give up if you truly want another baby. I'm 39 and pregnant with my 2nd. Did you have any trouble when TTC your DD? Your BD schedule sounds promising. Got my FX that you just tested too early! Good luck!

Absolutely not! I'm nearly 38 and am TTC #2 and do not feel too old at all. It took me a few months with my first DD nearly 6 years ago so I'm expecting it to take a bit longer this time round.

As megan says your BD schedule looks good so keeping fingers crossed for you, 9dpo is still very early x

I'll be 38 and oh 46 if we get lucky this time. I'll be testing next Thursday. This is our 3rd cycle ttc.. Our second .. We have2 older children from previous relationships . Fx we get some bfps soon ��

I will be 38 in July and I don't think it is too late. Janet Jackson just announced her pregnancy at 49!! I think we should be good lol..

Definitely not too old! I conceived my second when I was 39. If you're still ovulating you can get pregnant. I've read that while fertility does decline after 35, there are no further large drops in fertility and will stay about the same until menopause. So if you had no problems conceiving your daughter, you should have no probs with #2!

I'd suggest you take supplements to make sure your eggs are in tip top shape. Also, often overlooked, your hubby should take supps too to make sure his swimmers are at peak.

Just as everyone else has said not too old at all. I'm 38 and currently pregnant with my second child. Both I and DH took some vitamin supplements for a few months before we started trying and we conceived on our fourth cycle. Also, we only BD'ed once during my fertile days that cycle, the day the OPK turned positive! There's definitely a good chance if you are ovulating and your cycle is regular!!

Hi ladies , just thought I'd update .. Was really feeling off yesterday, Couldn't wait to Thursday so tested yesterday and I got my BFP ! 9dpo ! on first response and then did a clear blue digital this afternoon and came up positive straight away !! So thumbs up to older mummies we are not telling anyone until 12 week scan. X so hoping this is a sticky bean ️xx
