Just venting

So my parents work from the house together as Vender Reps for QVC (its a shopping network) but as of late my dad has really been slacking off on his work. I swear, I hear him yell more about my mom to make phone calls or goes out metal detecting than I ever see him do any work on the products.
Anyway, they just got a check and my mom had to use it to pay the bills, if she didnt give the electric company a certain amount they were going to shut the power off. She didnt tell him that they got the check though, because she knew he was going to demand half of it (even if he didn't do half the work) and then she wouldnt have had enough to pay all the bills that were due and now he's livid. He keeps yelling at her that it wasn't right of her to hide the money from him because they earned it together and such...but I just dont see where he has any right to. He uses the power and the phones and the water and everything else here too, shouldnt he be responsible for paying the bills too??
I wish I had a job or some kind of income so I could help out and things wouldnt be so stressful. Or that I could get him out of the house. It's not like my mom needs him. She does everything anyway.

I'm sorry that things are so complicated. I hate difficult home situations. Have you tried talking to your mother about it, see how she feels, what you can do?

Thanks, she talks to me about it sometimes, but she wont end up doing anything about it and shes always careful to not mention a lot of things so its dificult for me to form a fair opinion on the situation. I've been sick, god awful cold, so i cant really do much around the house, like dishes or cook because i'd cough all over them. and i really havent felt up to doing much anyway =P

You don't want to push yourself, just take it easy now and keep in mind you'll be better soon! You can help out when you feel better, I like to try and clean everyday but since I've hit third trimester that isn't happening according to plan.. now I just help out when I feel up to it, I'll do something a little extra to make up for the fact that I didn't help the last few days with the housework. Like cleaning out the toaster oven or organizing things - but I'm kind of in the nesting phase where I" want to do those things and they just happen to help haha
