My daughter was born on 11th aug, and I managed a 100% drug free birth.
I had a very quick labour and wouldn't have had time for an epidural even if I had wanted one.
I had an epi and gas and air with my son and can now compare the 2 births and I would urge anyone to go natural, it was so different - your body is an amazing thing and I can't belivie how much it takes over and controls you in labour.
I didn't need to be told when to push or how to birth as my body just got on with it automatically, it was totally different with my son and the epi and I really feel now I missed out with him by being numb and high on gas and air.
Also my recovery has been amazing, i was up and about straight away, no tears or stitches and i already feel back to normal.
good luck ladies, it really is worth it in the end xx
