My daughters middle name is Paris and I sometimes refer to her as first name then Paris it's not double barrelled but sometimes I say it as if it is.

Anyway could I call my 2nd girl(if she is a girl) Karis? As it rhymes.

Also which spelling do you prefer?

Thanks xx

I think maybe if you don't use your other daughters name too often? I'd probably be inclined to use the spelling Carys or Karys aswell to make it a little different to Paris x

I used to work with a girl named Kerris, and always thought it was such a pretty name! Unique without being weird.

I quite like the spellings Carys or Karys - both look lovely!

I agree - it's fine to use unless you often call your 1st daughter by a "double barreled" first name.

I love Carys and Cerys - lovely Welsh names and being Welsh, I prefer these traditional spellings ☺

I wouldn't use it as I think it's too similar.

Prefer Carys/Cerys spellings, though I thought Cerys was pronounced differently? More like Kerris?

I love the name but it would be too similar for me.

Hmm I don't know. It is similar but if you did the same double barrel thing with dd2 it wouldn't be as obvious.
As in.. Name Paris and Karis Name

I'm Welsh too so I would go with sp Carys. It's such a pretty name, I think it suits the softer spelling (if that makes sense!)

I don't think your can have karys and Paris! Too confusing. Personally I think it's a bit of a chav name with a k anyway.
