Was it only me, or did anyone else think that the lovely blue dress she wore to go home in was thoroughly impractical for breast feeding! (as she is rumered to be going to do)

Maybe she changed when she got home in to her pjs, I would.

I admire the fact that she had to do it all so publically and look so fresh. I barely get out of my PJ's after giving birth!

When I was feeding my newborn, there was no idea of doing so discreetly anyway, it was a 'drop the whole dress to my waist' kind of thing'.

I wore sweat pants and probably a top that was not really breastfeeding friendly to the car and home again.

What I wore home from the hospital definitely wasn't ideal for bfing, but I didn't stay in it. I ended up completely topless as soon as we walked in the door.

Not everyone buys dresses for bfing, I know I don't have any. But yeah I'm sure once she got home she went into her pjs ahhaha

Poor girl - I felt so sorry for her having to face all the cameras with her new baby... she looked a bit wobbly and teary. I thought she looked fantastic, I liked that she showed the bump and if it had been me, I would have wanted to look good, not dress for breastfeeding... I mean the whole world was there!!

... and I'm a republican :)

Considering she has a bit of money it wouldnt surprise me if it was sone really swanky specially made breastfeeding dress with really discreet panels she can open... If I could afford to have things tailored it wouldnt be hard to make things breastfeeding friendly but still look really good!

Yeah, I'm sure she only wore that dress for the brief appearance and car ride home.

I think she just wore it to go home in as its reminiscent of what Princess Diana wore when she left the hospital. So I think she just wore it to honor her.

Yeah I'm sure she just wore that for the photos. She wore this one today when they left in the car & it's much more BF friendly! :)

people buy clothes specifically just for breast feeding. I only had one tank top that I wore at home that was made for breast feeding. I didn't even have a nursing bra. If I was home then no bra. If I was out it was only to work so I wasn't worried about feeding baby. Plus she would only do the foot ball hold which is really hard with out several pillows. I bet she changed into something more comfy as soon as she got home. I wouldn't want to meet that press court in my excersize clothes that are comfy. Besides she wore dresses the whole time she was pregnant. Actually I can't recall seing her in pants. Does she wear them.?

I totally couldn't breastfeed in the dress I wore home from the hospital and I'm still here nearly 14 months later.

My first thought about Kate's dress was the colour. I wore black sweat pants for several days after giving birth because I was bleeding so much and was worried about pad leakage onto my clothes.

I planned on breastfeeding from day one. I wore a dress home that there was no way I could nurse in, but it was comfy and lose fitting, and I felt pretty in since photos were taken of us going home. As soon as I got in the door I got back into PJs! lol

I loved the fact that she showed off the tummy. I am so sick of that always being hidden, people should know and respect that you look like that after having a baby. Its normal. BTW I loved that knot dress from day two. I would love to raid her closet!

I didn't think about breast feeding friendly clothes at all when I was packing my bag, even though I was determined to breastfeed.. They were only for going home in

All I know is that princess Diana wore a polka dot dress and so did Kate. But Diana's dress looks green. Kate's is blue .I wonder if she put on blue for boy and would have wear pink if she had a girl? I also wonder if she had a team of people telling her what to wear and they think its a good idea to wear polka dots like William's mom for the media. https://perezhilton.com/cocoperez/2...ncess-diana-polka-dot-dress-st-marys-hospital

Personally, I would not want to resemble anything like my husband's mother. But that's because she is still alive and I don't want to cater his momma's boy thing (not sure how to explain it).

To me , it looks like one of those postpartum dress. It may have been a dress for . breastfeeding. I noticed the waistband is elastic that made me wonder.
