It was made especially for her leaving hospital, so I imagine it was elastic as they weren't entirely sure on size and so that she would be comfortable.
I wouldn't knock her going-home clothes. I got dressed long enough to go home, and then back to pj's after. Can't judge this book by that cover, imo. lol She did look just stunning, I thought.
I'm another one who pretty much just takes their boobs out of any top. I BF'ed DS1 for 21-22 months and plan on getting as close to 2 years I can with DS2 and only had/had 1 top made to BF'ed in.
I didn't bother with going home clothes as I'm pretty sure no one was taking photos of me! She had to make an appearance and she looked lovely. I'm sure she change pretty quickly once they got home.
I don't have any breastfeeding specific tops, just stretchy vests and loose t shirts and jumpers.
