Key & Card for Gas and Electric

Anybody use these?

If so how much do you spend a week on them?

We are moving on the 19th out of our flat to a 2 bed house, It already has a metre fit and its £52 to remove it, so we are going to stick with it for now and see what its like.

We are with SSE,We dont use alot of heating really,only main reason we use it in the flat is to dry clothes, but with moving we will finaly have a washing line.. can not wait lol
Our cooker is electric and in the new house the living room has no fire place.


Alot of people have told me they put about £10 a week on each, and then we will also have money taken of our metre for the previous bill we still owe.

hi i was living in the house with such a meter and 10 quit for electric a week was plenty for me but i was working full time if you stay at home mum might be need it to top up a little bit more.
gas i was doing 15 per week

I currently work 4 days a week and so empty house quite a lot I dont think im quite using £10 on electric but Gas im using £15-£20 a week

We have a 2 bedroomed house, i'm in most of the day with LO and we use £10 a week. x

I just checked mine and this week ive used less than im used to £6 on electric and £12 on gas and ive done loads of washing and cooking this week.

Electric is about a tenner a week. Gas, well it will depend on how hot your neighbours houses are? and how well insulated yours is? Average here is a tenner a week, only got neighbours one side and ours is well insulated

I had my gas on a prepay metre in my old flat, which covered heating, hot water and the top of the cooker (the actual oven was electric).

We spent about £10-£20 a month in the summer and £50 a month in the winter.

Hi ours is prepayment, we spend not evan £10 a week on electric or gas maybe about £8 and im a sahm we just dont use an awful lot. were with southern electric

i use about 20 - 25 a week in electric and about a tenner in gas (less in the summer)

our heating and hob are gas. oven, shower electric

mine is a lot because i dont hang any washing out, i just use the dryer and this one i have just now costs more to run than any i have had in the past
