Due date is tomorrow, but on Tuesday my OB said my cervix was long, hard and I wasn't dilated at all. Induction scheduled for April 11, but would like to avoid that if possible.

I'm walking a lot, eating pineapple and we had Indian Food last night hoping that would get things going. A hot curry is on the menu tonight

Wanted to get some more ideas of yummy foods that may help facilitate a natural delivery. Thanks in advance!

You don't necessarily need a curry, just lots of chilies. They produce endorphins and oxytocin, which kick starts labour, is an endorphin. Literally, eat some raw chilies (if you can stand them).

It's not a food, but I'm a big believer in massage and reflexology. I actually had a massage the day before I went into labour. Realistically, things were already starting up as I was having a lot of discharge before I even got there, but I definitely think it helped move things along (massage releases oxytocin - as does any touch, just a gentle back or foot rub is great for you). I was only 37 weeks, so NOT trying to induce labour at all, just wanted a spa day. But I do think it helped. I don't think any of these things will start up anything if it's not already about to happen, but it can help move it along. But you're only just at your due date. You have plenty of time! Relax and don't stress about it too much.

How would she induce? Meds or membrane sweep ?

The problem for me with all these spicy suggestions is we eat chillies with most meals and curries at least once a week, so I don't think they'll help kickstart my labour
