I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum back in March/April at 9 weeks I miscarried about on April 13, I was a little over 10 weeks along. They assured me this was a rare occurrence and shouldn't happen again.
Well it did in a BIG way.....
I got a +Pt on June 19. I went to my midwife two days ago at 9 weeks 4 days.
What they saw shocked me! THREE EMPTY SACS!
They, again, diagnosed me with three blighted ovums. The sacs were empty, no heartbeats detected.
I completely prepared my self for a loss this will be my fourth miscarriage in 3 years, i'm almost used to it by now.
However, A nurse called me this morning to give me my lab results. She said my HCG is 25,000 which is an indicator of multiples at 5 weeks. She continued to say that what they saw on the ultrasound is normal at 5 weeks as well (i.e. no heart beat).
Could it be remotely possible that there's still a chance?
My midwife said not likely with the timeframe of the + PT, but that was also before the lab test results.
This will be my one and only shot a twins I'm sure I'm holding on to false hope.
Your input is greatly appreciated!
