Ladies who remembered what happened after your LO was born...

Much like you DD is 7 weeks and my postpartum checkup is next week. They gave me some birth control pills before I left the hospital so I started those after my first period. But if you don't have any I'd definitely wait until you see your Dr. I'm about to have my birth control changed when I go to see them on monday.

 

I still need to get on some contraception, will get the coil again, we are using condoms atm x

 

I would maybe make a appt asap with your doctor for some contraception, or wait while your 6wk check & use condoms in the mean time.

I never used anything as i wasent allowed the pill for 12mths after due to me having high BP. We just was very careful.

 

I would talk to your doctor about it and see what he/she thinks is best.

 

I was told you cant have a coil fitted unless you have had a baby but the doctor said that was rubbish x

 

i would wait until you see the doctor, or ask the hv if you see her before as she might be able to advise because it could be a case of booking an appointment with the gp and getting a prescription for pills
