Lap op on Nov 3rd. Anyone else had luck with this?

Hey everyone. I haven't been on here for a while. Have had 4 failed clomid cycles and another 3 failed IUI since Jan 2009. Now I have decided to have the lap op to hopefully clear out any endometriosis and cysts. although still not sure what the doc will do in the op.

I want to ring the hospital and ask to speak to the dr but not sure if they will let me. It was just decided in the consultation that i woudl go for lap next but they said I woudl have a chance to discuss the op later. I didn't ...i only saw a nurse who checked i was ok to come in for the op and gave me blood forms.

Well wish me luck for 3rd Nov! Has anyone else had lap op and what did they find? Did you get BFP after? Was it naturally conceived or after clomid or IUI or IVF?

We may have another IUI cycle otherwise go for IVF in Jan 2010.

I had a lap in November last year and I was diagnosed with stage II endometriosis. This was excised at the same time. I then conceived naturally in June 2009, 7 months later. Ironically I failed one IVF cycle before I got pregnant - it seems my body wasn't quite ready (that was only 5 months after the op). My surgeon said I would likely fall pregnant at about 6 months after surgery so that was pretty accurate.

I had a lap and dye in June. Both of my tubes were blocked, but the doc pushed the dye through my left tube and opened. it. He then put me on clomid for that cycle and I did get a . Sadly we lost our little bean, but not because of any complications with the lap. Actually, doc said I had a really good chance to ttc that samy cycle because they new for sure my tube was all good.

Hey I'm having it done at Queens....where did you have yours done? Who with? I am really worried sick too in case they mess up as always hearing bad stuff on the telly....

2 weeks to go.....I think that not having any meds pumped in like with the clomid or the gonal f ...my cycles have gone back to their abnormally long self....am on cd33 now. They used to be ridiculous like 40 odd days before the artificial meds.

I had a lap when I was 24 that removed some endo, but wasn't in the situation to get pregnant at that time although my doc said my chances were best right after. I had another lap in January and everything was clear. Still no BFP for me.

I had mine down at Basildon Hospital. Got my results back, ovaries and tubes are ok, a couple of fibroids on my uterus. Starting on Clomid next cycle.

Hi, I am having a lap on the 9th November. I know that I have a cyst on my left ovary and they suspect endometriosis. We were ttc for a few months last year but didn't have any success, then we got engaged and decided to get married instead. We are going to start trying again after the op. It is great to hear lots of success stories - you often just get told you will find it really difficult to concieve!

Does anyone have any advice on the sort of questions to ask after the op? I am going to write some down to give to my husband so I don't forget. I hadn't realised that endometriosis was graded so that is a great start.

Mine was also on 22nd Sep and I was told some stuff straoght after i woke up but was so groggy i could hardly speak, think or remember! They said see you in 6weeks
Anyway I rang up and I have my post op appointment on Wednesday just over 5weeks since.

Wishing you all the best. I have my lap booked for 17th Nov but have to finish my first clomid cycle first. I have spoken to lots of friends who have had success within 6 months of the op. My mum had two laps - the first she got pregnant in one month with me and then the second took 3 months to get my sister. So I'm hoping it runs in the family!

Hopefully we will be celebrating together soon...
