There is such stigma around big families
Pisses me off!!
I have 2 dd & 1 ds
Tcc #4 secretly though because the shit is gonna hit the fan but i have reached a point in life where i have seen first hand you get one life and you need to live it the best way you see fit

Welcome Noodle, glad I am not the only one doing this secretively. Only a select few know because I don't want any judgement. I am more afraid of the judgement from my DH side of the family. It shouldn't matter but I also worry when my DH's ex wife finds out as I am sure she will fill his kids heads with crap. It's sad that people can't be happy for the decisions you make in life. If you can support your children then what does it matter how many you have?

For so many years i let people dictate to me and im sure I'm a massive disappointment anyway so i dont care what they think anymore ��
Me and my oh have sat down and put together a plan for what we want to achieve in the next couple of years because since the start of 2017 we have had terrible times loosing a very young family member to an overdose and i just had this sort of light bulb moment where i thought......
So what i have a big family it doesn't make me a bad person i dont ask anyone to have my kids i dont rely on anyone to provide for them so whos business is it?
I feel if i dont live the life i want i will get to 70 and regret it

Thats exactly how I feel. I am only 30 and my DH will be 42. When him and I first started dating, even before I knew he was the one, my stipulation was if I wanted to have another baby that he was open to that. Being he already had 3 girls himself and myself 2, I needed to make sure he was on board. Now that we are TTC I think some days hes more on board than I which makes me really happy. He has been such an amazing dad to my girls (neither of their dads are really in the picture anymore), so they need that!

I always think there are so many worse things i could of been than a mum so... people are gonna have to suck it up and either butt out or accept my choices

Well looks like people will have to accept us as becoming a family of 8 (as long as my little bean stays put)

Noodle- I hear you about way worse things. My dad was so mad at me when I told him I was pregnant at 16. I get it, I do but he knew the people I was hanging out and they were all going down a dark path. I believe my daughter saved my life.

Elmum- sorry for your loss, hopefully your TTC time is quick especially with you being in the TWW! Baby dust your way

This is sooo similar to me. My husband (8 years older) has 3 kiddos from before me, and we have 2 together, trying for another! When I told my sister about TTC again, she looked at me like I had just. lost. my. mind. But our kids seriously love each other SO MUCH, and our oldest (boy) just beams from ear to ear when he thinks about how much of a privilege it is to be the oldest of 5 (soon to be 6) siblings.

Im only on CD 8 or 9 cant remember the next couple of weeks are crazy with sports days and school trips i am looking forward to the 6 week summer holidays to have some nice chilled out days not worrying about times and school pick ups lol
Then my little one will be full time in September waaaa the baby at school full time its going to be strange

I’ve not got a big family as of yet but we’re TTC #4.
I’m 32 and my oh is 33. I’ve 3 DD from my previous relationship and their dad is a big part in their lives still even if he is a complete tit. But my oh wants kids and I’m happy to give that to him and hopefully he can give me a boy I so desperately want ��. I was on the mini pill since last October and I’ve been off it nearly 2 weeks so just waiting for my cycle to get back to normal now and that first post bc bleed.

I don’t know how people will react but hopefully it will be positive. My mum saw a medium 2 years ago when I was still in a relationship with DD’s dad and she told my mum I’d have 4 children. Well the dd’s dad went and got the snip without us really discussing more children so I thought that was that, however when that 10 year relationship broke down and I got with my oh ( who was my first ever lover) maybe that will come true ��

What a lovely thread

We have 9 kids so far. Ages 19 down to 1. Our youngest just turned 1 about a week ago. Yesterday I got my first positive opk (we are still nursing). Usually it takes about 6 cycles for us to conceive after they come back while nursing. I start out ovulating really late in the cycle and have a short lp. Each cycle gets better and better until we ovulate at a normal time and conceive. Hopefully that's how it goes this time as well

Busy- so exciting sticky dust coming your way.

AFM- my june tests that were positive resulted in a cp, then in july i got positives and yes tests again but today I am CD2. Its been rough having back to back cp and i chose to sit this month out just because of when due date would fall my husband isnt 100% on board with not trying. He feels if its meant to be then let it happen. I am meeting with a new doctor on the 14th to see if we can figure out why this keeps happening

Sorry to hear jlmeans I had back to back chemicals and then lost the next one at 15 weeks. It was undoubtedly the hardest year I've ever had. But then I got pregnant with my last baby and I'm so grateful to have her. I hope you get some answers and another baby.
