When did you ladies stop laying on your back and front?

I do it without thinking and worrying myself with harming babies blood supply. Also, I still sleep on my front a lot. I'm 18 weeks tomorrow.

I'm still like half sleeping on my stomach and sometimes on my back, it will probably get to a point where you know it's not okay anymore because you won't be able to and it'll be very uncomfortable. Maybe slowly try laying on your sides so you can start getting used to it. When your a belly or back sleeper it's hard to get used to being on your side!

If I lie on my back for a while I get an achy lower back so I try to consciously avoid it when I can - apparently OH says I roll onto my back quite often when asleep so will have to invest in a big pillow :haha: In my Lazy Daisy class we were told that even if you do lie on your back you will feel the effects before there is any effect on the baby so try not to worry. Also the teacher had a lady in a previous class that still slept on her stomach until the baby was born

I'm 17 and 4 and only have a tiny bump.... I love sleeping on my stomach so have opted for a slight stomach slight side which is feeling quite comfortable. I still lay on my back loads too and am not too worried about it - as others have said I'm sure our bodies will tell us when it's not right!

Lying on my stomach wasn't comfortable as soon as my bump arrived. I still will lay on my back from time to time, but since 24 weeks it's been very uncomfortable.

Pretty much as soon as I can feel my pulse in my belly, I start worrying about compressing arteries and roll to my side.

Surprisingly the harm is actually more to you than the baby. From what I've read, most women will feel uncomfortable before there is any damage or injury.

I can't lay on my stomach it's too uncomfortable, and I've never found laying on my back comfy, even before pregnancy. I always sleep on my sides but toss and turn all night at the moment x

Thanks for the replies ladies. I guess I'll see if I feel anything on my back. Feel stupid asking these questions sometimes

Laying on my stomach makes me feel sick so I haven't done that in weeks. Sometimes I lay on my back, but only for short periods because the pressure gets intense. Your body will let you know to move before it becomes a problem.

I can't lay on my front, it feels like I'm laying on a big water balloon! I still wake up on my back pretty often, but I roll onto my side whenever it happens. I like to read before bed, and I usually lay on my back then, but I put a pillow under my right hip so I'm tilted slightly to the left. That seems to alleviate any discomfort from being flat on my back.
