been with OH for almost 3 years i love him but he is being so unsupportive and never helps out and i know that will never change he is lazy and come dec he wont have a job, i am seriously considering leaving him he wont bring anything to the relationship to help both emotionally and money wise think i would be better off alone. dont think i could go through leaving him tho we live together own everything together it would be such a hassel, we would fight over our dogs and all the things i brought him.

and we have a holiday booked and paid for end of november that has cost me over 3 grand.

i dont know what to do

Hi hun, my Oh was the same during my early pregnancy, but hes got better now, hes alot more supportive and helpful, and is buying more things, i would give things time as it takes time for it to sink it for them hun, but if your truly unhappy just follow your heart as cheesy as it sounds xxx

my OH wasn't much use during most of my pregnancy, but during the 3rd tri he completely changed, he'd go out with some money & i'd expect him to come back with a pair of shoes or jeans for himself (as he always did) but he'd come back with bags full of things for the baby. he was brilliant towards the end of my pregnancy, during the birth, and now Charlie's here he's great :) he works full time then comes home and wants to be as involved with Charlie as possible, changing his nappies & bathing him. we've had hiccups along the way but he's changed so much.

i'd definitely suggest giving it a bit of time, as our OH's don't have as much of a bond with our LO's in the early days, I think it was the 20 week scan & my OH being able to feel Charlie kick that really changed him x

my OH was exactly the same at the beginning, i think i even made similar posts! But he has really come round now. I would try and stick it out a bit longer, he's probably feeling just as messed up emotionally as you are now but because he's a man he wont show it :hugs: i hope things get better..xx

Give it a bit of time and remember men don't become a dad until they see there baby

Hope it gets better for you two :hugs::hugs: xxx

I would give it some more time unless your TRULY unhappy and stressed out beyond repair. I know how it is when you feel like they're not stepping up to the plate but I'd give him a talk and let him know that right now its going no where. EVEN IF he decides to leave you because of it, you'll know he wasn't serious enough. You paid for the vacation, you can still go. Only fair. :flower:
