I returned to work after maternity leave in June. I am considering handing in my notice as I'd much rather be a SAHM.

My OH works full time so we could afford for me to stay home. However, I did a benefits calculator online which said we'd be entitled to WTC and CTC. However, on another calculator is goes by what I earned last year, so I'd not be entitled to anything.. Would they take in to consideration that I was going from earning to absolutely nothing? Or is it a case of if I left work now I'd get nothing until the next tax year?

Thanks in advance if anybody can help me!

I was working last year and chose not to return after my maternity leave ended. I rang HMRC and told them my estimated earnings for this year and they altered my payments. I think they ask for last years earnings presuming that your circumstances haven't changed.
