I have had cervical issues since 2005 but this is the first time my Dr is doing a leep procedure. The medical assistant gave me a pre op appt at the doctor's office but it's going to be performed at the hospital. I was just looking it up (i already know the basics but wanted more details like down time) and I'm going to have to be awake for the procedure? She didn't say anything about it... in a way I'm relieved because I'm nursing and was worried about anesthesia getting into my milk but now I'm nervous about being awake... anyone with experience and were you awake or put under for your procedure?
