I called NHS Direct Monday morning as I had woken up with stomach pains and bleeding. They advised me to ring my GP, so I did and was told to go in straight away. The GP I saw discussed the possibilities of an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage and sent me to Gynae via A&E. I had blood taken and was given an internal and told to go for an ultrasound the following morning.
Upon receiving my ultrasound I was told that she couldn't see a baby and that I was either earlier on in the pregnancy than I had thought, or one of the afore mentioned possibilities had occurred. I was then told to return for another blood test on Friday.
At work yesterday I received a voicemail message saying that I didn't need to go for the blood test, I just need to go for another scan next Friday. I had period-type pains all day yesterday and by 5pm the pain had spread to my back and down my leg (all in my right side). Mum rang the qward and all they said was to go in if I couldn't cope! I'm pretty good at coping with pain and don't want to put myself/my baby in danger.
I just want to know what's going on
