I was wondering if there was anyone like us who will have the legal ceremony on a different day to the 'wedding'.
We are considering this at the moment. It's become so complicated to have what we want, as it's in Jersey, we live in england etc etc... We are thinking about having a humanist ceremony in the garden at my parents followed by the reception in their barn. We'd have to do the legal bit too tho so are considering a trip to the registry office a few days before we go to Jersey (with immediate family only)
What does everyone think? OH is worried people wont think it's as special. I view the humanist part as being the wedding where we promise to spend the rest of our lives together.
It's all just so confusing!
