length of af

Hi ladies.

My little girl is 17 months just and this is my second af and its horrendous. Last month was very light and lasted 3 days. This one however is on day 7 and showing no signs of stopping soon and very heavy. Is this normal? Im a little worried as never had a period last this long. We are trying for #2 but I am worried this will affect it. Xx

How long have your cycles been? Have you been on birth control until recently? And were you breastfeeding until recently?
How long did the first af last?

After not having a period for 13 months, I had a very heavy, painful 10 day period, so sometimes that can affect it. Birth control and breastfeeding can delay periods or change their length etc when stopped.

I had my implant removed recently and had a horrid long and heavy AF also xx

No birth control at all. Breastfeeding still but dropped to just morning and bedtime feed. Last cycle was 29 days. First af 3 days and light. This one im on day 7 already x

I get very light periods from 1-3days since my son several yrs back. Recently I will have an odd heavy long period. I personally would wait till 9days. As a period in medical terms can be 1-9days. After nine if it wasnt gone. I would let my doc know.
