I have a 4 yo DS from previous heterosexual relationship. I have been with my current partner (female) for 2 years now and we really want to have a baby. We are planning to do this around about September 2015 (we have our reasons). We live in Scotland and i am seriously struggling to find the best way to do this that doesn't involve us sharing our child with a man. IUI is pretty costly and i find a lot of the info on it quite confusing. If paying through the nose is the only way to have a kid then of course we will do it, but i would rather buy a swanky new pram and move house with that kid of money

Also finding a donor is a task and a half. I just don't know where to start
and I wondered if anybody has any advice?
We have considered buying sperm and doing a home insemination because I have no fertility problems (thankfully!) but then there is the adoption process which i know nothing about, and also buying the sperm (I feel like i am buying a pure bred stallion).
Have any other lesbians had a child out there? Where the HECK did you start?
