Let down by doctor

I feel completely let down by the doctor I've just seen.

My baby has oral thrush and has drops to clear it. However from looking online, I read I may need to be treated too. I have a severe pain in my left breast when feeding - but no clue whether this is thrush or something else - the nipple doesn't look cracked or sore but I'm in agony when feeding.

So the doctor has prescribed me timodine cream which doesn't even mention breastfeeding on - it says it's used for nappy rash and you should only use it for 7 days, so I'm not at all comfotable using it where baby will be feeding!!! It also says online it should only be used when breastfeeding if considered essential.

The doctor also didn't even look at my boob and I saw him write down I have mastisis!

So I call the surgery up to complain - and tell them what the midwife said I needed - fluconazole. She also mentioned lanisoh cream. So I asked to see another doc and they said they would do me a prescription for those two which I can pick up at 6.

I just don't feel at all happy, really stressed out!!

my doc prescribed me with antibiotics for mastitis and i was so sure i didnt have it and against everyone's advice didnt take them. And within a few day sit was better. Your insticts are prob right.

My doc blew me off as well when she told me Brenn had thrush. She told me to get a jock itch cream OTC. He also didn't even have thrush.
