mil keeps telling what I should do:hissy:
I should try LO to drink by using the straw (he's drinking from a cup now)
She tried to get him to crawl at 4 months old
He should be crawling around the house already ...bla bla bla
:hissy:

I'll bash her too, what an idiot!

I dont talk to my MIL full stop. She used to call twice a week to ram advice down my throat, so I simply dont answer the phone - we've not spoken for weeks now :happydance: I remember once she was telling me over and over that I needed to put farax rice cereal in his bottle when he was 3 months old!!! I kept repeating "he's a breastfed baby" and she'd go on and on and on about how thats what she did with her kids and I calmly repeated "he's a breastfed baby" and she'd bang on and on about how she just wanted to help and that thats what she was told to do and I calmly repeated "he's a breastfed baby" I think I had to repeat the phrase about 5 or 6 times before she even understood that I DONT GIVE HIM A BOTTLE!!!! WTF!!!

Anyway... yeah... your MIL sounds like a fool, what 4 month olds crawl!?!?!?

And babies under 1 shouldn't have cows milk anyway?

and thats amazing on your behalf that he's drinking from an open cup, I've not seen a baby under 1 drink from a cup before and I worked in a nursery! (unless you mean a sippy cup and then thats still pretty cool!) Well done!

Yeah !" i don't think i'm doing a bad job even know i'm a first time mummy
lincoln wanted to drink from a cup because we took him to his friend's first birthday and he saw adults were drinking from the plastic cups and ever since he doesn;t want to suck to sip from bottle any more ,lol

what grown up boy! Thats so cute!

Mils suck!!!! They do like to push advice dont they. My mil said to me last night "dont you think it time to stop all this breastfeeding milarky and just give her a bottle". I said ill stop when we are ready!!!

'breast feeding milarky!'

:shock:

Thats such an awful thing to say!

What a b*tch, I'm sorry, thats really awful!

You feed him for as long as you want!

I cant imagine what my MIL is going to say to me about BFing - she wants Jasper fully on solids by now, and I'm thinking I wont start until 6 months if I can wait, because I do believe its best, and I plan to BF for as long as possible - as in - until I have the next bub, so.... pretty much as close to 2 years as possible, because I dont see why I'd give Jasper cows milk... cows milk is for baby cows!!!!

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I have to laugh hysterically coz I'll get thrown off for saying what I really think:blush:

The amount of times I have been told by female family members to give myself a break and stop breastfeeding or that I look a bit tired (cheeky sods) and I should give baby a bottle so I can "recover". WTF are they talking about? Nope, none of my family breastfed so they don't see the benefits like not lugging bottles about when you go somewhere. Not having to move off your ar$e when you wanna feed:rofl:, no scrubbing bottles etc (unless you're expressing which I do, but only once a day).
If it's my turn to wash up or something I quickly ram baby on the breast and say to hubby

"aww sorry but I'm feeding, you'll have to do it"

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

tell her to piss off!!! Oh I know you wont cos I want to tell mine to piss off and never do!!

"Breastfeeding malarky! what a cheek!!!! I wouldn't of been able to control myself!! I'm bad enough when my friends pull a face when i say i'm BF for at least a year. They get a look of disgust on their face :gun:

i always ask my OH to fetch me a drink of water, or something to eat, while I'm BFing, because its the only time when he'll jump and do it... i think it;s like he feels like he's 'helping' feed the baby!

oh god don't even start me on mils lol,
my mil asked me if rhys is on boring old milk still last friday, he's 9 weeks old you stupid bat... i got the old i fed our craig rice in his bottle at 6 weeks, i said thats why he's fat lol, she didnt look impressed.
i told oh its not what she says so much but its how she says it.
every time he opens his mouth to cry or even whimper, its oooo bottle time i'll do it, or he's got wind he wants nanny to do it. and she constantly bangs on about taking him out shoppin on her own. noooooo way he'd come back with a rusk hanging out his mouth lol.
ignore her or laugh at her jokingly and say yer yer whatever eh but say it to baby, but indirectly to her... iykwim.
xx
