That sometimes you might need double or triple breast pads. I was in the bank and the cashier asked if i'd just had a baby and I said yes. So she said "oh because you've leaked" and when I looked one side of my top was drenched. It had leaked right through the one breast pad I had on. I had no coat with me so had to run to the car pushing the pram with one hand and the other arm placed very unusually over my boob trying to cover my wet patch. Lesson learnt!
 
I always say I wish someone had warned me how down I would feel afterwards but having said that I don't think anyone could actually warn you about how a new baby, especially your first, will impact you.

I spent 2 weeks walking around like a zombie and crying my heart out, mourning my old life and my new responsibilities. DH really thought I was losing the plot because I was acting like a different person. Then it just disappeared and I knuckled down and got on with it.

Nowadays I feel rotten for ever having thought like that about my beautiful boy.
