I lift and carried my toddler as much as I needed to during pregnancy, I went on the premise that my body was used to his weight. I wouldn't have lifted anything else heavy though. Listen to your body and follow your instincts x
I considered this in early pregnancy, but have come to the conclusion I can't do much about it! He's not as heavy at 23lbs but it's enough at times. It's difficult, he still needs me and I want to be his mum and not change. I think it's more "drastic" changes that you're meant to avoid. Lifting nothing each day then lifting a sofa or something! I've lifted him every day so am 'used' to it, but I try not to lift awkwardly if possible
