I'd been getting contractions on the 21st in the early hours of the morning thought things were starting for me but this went on for two days .
My waters broke on the 22nd at 10 am. Went straight to hospital and contractions were 3-4 minutes apart and very Strong . Contractions started to spread out so the doctors held off on examining me for a while as they said after first examination they would be commiting me to labour as the more examinations the increase in infection ... I walked Around for a good hour to try get the contractions more regular finally they examined me and I was 3cm . I then got the epidural as the pain was pretty bad ... Stupid doc had to do the epi 3 times kept putting it in wrong . ....
Lasted good until 7 cm but then I stopped progressing through the labour and I stopped dilating . Which when doctor came in and had to give me a hand .... He tried lubricating the birth canal more as my waters has broke at 10am and this was now 11pm ... Was a very dry birth .... Eventually I has dilated enough for him to use suction ... Which failed so he used forceps ... He had to cut me as well which was pretty painful the epi started to wear off and I was feeling a lot ... After another hour and a half of pushing baby was born at 12.27am weighing 8lbs ... It made everything so much easier when I seen her she is beautiful
... Doctor was stitching me for about 45 minutes ... But then decided I needed to be brought to theatre as I had third degree tears .... Was hard leaving my baby as I never even got to hold her my boyfriend had to handle it all which he did so well as he was terrified for me . I was brought to theatre and put under a general anastetic . It was all over about 3.30am ... Was woken up and brough back to the ward . Couldn't see me baby until the morning . Was so hard as i couldn't hold her I was in too much pain and had to be lying down all day .... Today is day two and I finally got a cuddle . She is just amazing and is so quiet she sleeps so well and hasn't really cried at all .... Have to get physio to help with my recovery and to make sure iv no problems in the future ... Can't wait to be back on my feet again .
