I have noticed a pattern occurring every month in the lead up to ovulation, cystic acne on my neck!
I never get spots anywhere else, just on my neck and these are those horrible big ones that lie under the skin, are quite painful and never rise to the surface. They flare up in the week leading up to ovulation and then disappear again straight after (well not disappear, they retract back under the skin)
The thing is, this has only been happening in the last 6 months or so (i keep notes on all my symptoms for ovulation and AF).
I'm wondering if this could be a hormone thing? I know that cystic acne can be a sign of PCOS and I wondered if anyone else had any experience of this?
