Does this Links of london look real? If i ordered it and it turned out that it was fake would i be able to return it?

I couldn't tell you if it was real or not as its not my thing, but if you buy it and its not real, you will have to go to Trading Standards and have them confirm its fake and then you will have to fax/email the confirmation to Paypal to recieve a refund.

And you only get 10 days to confirm its a fake and tell Paypal otherwise you wont be refunded.

IMHO its a lot of hoo har for summat that mite not be real, if i was you i would buy from the high st.

V xxxx

As it comes with an original box etc it does seam like they are making it out as the real thing, how did you discover it wasn't ? I don't know of it myself so couldn't spot it as a fake. Have you contacted the seller and confronted her?

Edit: from what I can see it comes with a card that should guarantee it to be not a fake, or did she not send this?

I havent bought it yet, i wouldnt know how to tell if it was real or fake but i know there are alot of fakes about so dont want to buy a fake one. Thats why i was asking on here if anyone could tell whether it was real or fake

New Links of London Sweetie Bracelet with Heart charm (#160430783282)

dont think it is real hun xxx

I think its pretty bad if its not real and it comes with a real looking box and card. I did notice she sold fake pandora bracelets, but in this case, it seemed upfront about being fake. I would contact her and say: is this bracelet a 100% authentic links with all the paperwork to prove it? If she says yes, I would say it is real, or she is conwoman, and surely in the case you could claim to ebay.

Edit. Having read shazzy-babee it doesn't look good. I would still pm her though and see what she says.

Ive emailed a few people asking if they are genuine and if they have the paperwork so will see what they say

you can fake those little cards really easily. unless its holographed (which it isn't) they can be faked. Fake uggs have little cards and so do fake tiffany&co. I wouldnt risk it, its prob fake.

are those bracelets not really expensive? she has sold a few of them all fir £40 so i cant see how she would be making a profit

There are alot of fake Links of London bracelets coming out of China, They are made of alloy instead of silver and poor imitations.

The bracelet should have a large link with 'links london' engraved and the Links of london logo, which is 3 oval overlapping circles, also on it. See the pictures opposite.

The quality of the links are poor, often look a bit dirty and unfinished, particularly in between the links.
They also look dull due to the alloy instead of being highly polished silver.
You can often see a line that runs around the link where the circle has been joined.

The fakes often are sparsly populated with links, and can sometimes see section of the elastic while worn.

There should also be a hallmark on the one of the small rings next to the large ring where it says Links of London.Just ask them if has the hallmark on it.xx

Its defo fake hun, sorry! (I've got bloomin good at this after getting a fake last year!)

Links of London bracelets come in a oval box, the charms come in square

Contrary to popular belief, not all Links Of London bracelets come with 'care cards' etc. Mine and Alex's real ones didn't(we got them from the Links store in Multrees Walk) The reciepts have my customer name on them.

I took some piccies of mine and Lexis with things to look for.

This is my bracelet (its the black rhodium and gold version tho) but the box is oval and has black lines the outer lid, and the box is black inside. Fake boxes often dont have the black lining on the lids.

This is Alex's child size bracelet. The same packaging again, but this picture shows the little Links London tag that comes on the bracelet as new.

New boxes come with ribbon tied round them, black with white stitching.

This is the bag it comes in. The bag should have the website in the inside. Also, FAKE bags have the 'links of london' rings on the front of the bag, under the Links London logo. The REAL bags DONT. There is a card on the real bag(is this the care card people talk of?) but theres nothing written in it, its blank.

The square box that the charms come in. It has black ribbon inside that the charm attaches to, with white stitching. People actually sell their genuine boxes on eBay, which is how some fakes come in geniune boxes
https://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s246/sandismall/SDC11986.jpg

The reciepts often have the customers name. Every charm I have bought and every bracelet I have has my name.
https://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s246/sandismall/SDC11987.jpg

The Barrel link should have the rings engraved - and the engraving should be clear as day.
https://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s246/sandismall/SDC11988.jpg

The text should say LINKS LONDON
https://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s246/sandismall/SDC11989.jpg

The link next to the barrel link will have silver stamp symbols(you need to gently stretch the bracelet to see)

I hope this helps someone. My fake bracelet and packaging was pretty good, but next to the real thing it was obvious. I used to have pics of them together but i must have deleted them :(

the giveaway for me would be the price, these things sell at over £100, but she is able to sell a few for under £50? - sorry hun i would steer clear of it x
