For the past few days or so I've been noticing links appearing in posts and in the forum descriptions. I'm pretty sure these weren't added by the posters since a lot of the time, it's random words that are linked that have nothing to do with the topic of the original post. Is it just me or am I the only one noticing this?

Scrolling over the links it pops up with a program called text enhance. Was this something that is supposed to be here or no?

Show me a page with an example? On my mobile so struggling to get around! I think I know what you mean ...

It seems different things show up as these links. Right now on the forum home page the word "work" is showing up as a link in the Waiting To Try description. In the Trying To Conceive forum description the words "trying to get pregnant" are showing up as a link. Assisted Conception forum has the words "Coping with infertility" showing up as a link. Like I said it seems to be changing what words are being linked in the forum descriptions but I've mainly been noticing it happening with the descriptions on any of the TTC forums.

Here is a post that has the word "agree" linked. Whenever I hover over these links though I can see the text enhance at the top and then underneath there is usually some kind of ad.

EDIT: Actually just noticed, the word "mobile" in your post and the word "offers" in your MissG Photography message in your signature is showing up like a link.

This shouldn't be viewable to logged in members which I've had confirmed before I answered. Are you browsing as a guest or not selected 'stay logged in'?

I have it selected so that I always stay logged in. I'm still noticing it as I'm actively browsing the board.

EDIT: Just scrolled up to check and my status is listed as online yet I can still see the text enhance links in your post.

 Are you on a pc? Can you take a screen shot for me please?

I am on a PC, I don't access the site on my mobile. Here is a screenshot, I circled the links and my online status.

Oh no that's not right although I'm not sure if this is a bug or your own PC due to no other complaints. I'll get back to you (if not someone else) as soon as possible.

:D

I've only ever noticed this text enhance thing here so I don't think it's a problem on my end but I could be wrong. Let me know if you find out anything. No rush though, it's not something that is so irritating that I'm going to stop coming to BnB. :)

Could you answer the following please hun to help us deal with this better:
Are they clickable links or is the text just underlined?
What happens on mouseover? - Screen shots helpful if anything does happen if possible
What OS and browser are you using?

I'm forwarding this thread to another department for review.

Appreciate your report and helping us locate what the problem could be.

:D

The links don't seem to be clickable. When I mouse over them a small box will appear that has the text enhance name on the top and then some sort of ad beneath. The screenshot above shows what happens when I mouse over one. I'm using Windows Vista for my OS and my browser is Google Chrome.

So far I have not noticed the links as I normally do. StirCrazy suggested I check my extensions to see if I had a text enhance one. I didn't, but I did have a premiumplay codec-c extension which I did recently install in order to watch a video. I disabled it and have yet to notice a "link". So the problem may have been on my end but I don't quite understand how this extension would cause the text enhance to occur and why it only happened here.

You can opt out of text enhance here: https://optout.textsrv.com/optout.php
It basically malware.

The inline text ads run here are entirely different and only displayed to non-logged in users. Incidentally you can also opt out of being tracked from the AdChoices link at the bottom of the page.

I have opted out of the text enhance. Thank you for solving the problem for me. :)
