Liquid concentrate vs powder (poo question)

Do the two types produce different poos?

Elyse's poo was always brown-orange on the liquid concentrated stuff that I was mixing with water, and I tested out the powder yesterday/today (which I hate, and I am switching back, who cares about saving money lol).. and her poop was yellow!! Is the reason for it the switch or??

Do you mean the formula in cartons?Coz thats what my HV advised me using for my little girl when i wean her over to formula.Its better for them aparently does make them constipated coz its been heated up and sterilised or something along those lines anyway.

I'd imagine it would be. What kind of formula are you using? I'm using Emfamil A+, and when I switched from powder to concentrate, I didn't notice anything.

I've heard that powder makes them gassier though..

It comes in cans here, you pour it in a container and mix in equal parts boiled water

I liked canned because it was easier to mix.

But like powder you can take it with you in the diaper bag and it is fresh made if you bring bottles with just water and make them.

But, the poo does change color all the time. I have seen streaks of yellow or mustard looking poo.. Usually it is a green brown! ick.. *gag*...

I guess as long as Elyse is not constipated either would do fine Tasha.

I still use the cans... I do have a tin of powder for going out... its nice just putting boiled water into the bottles and adding the powder as I need!

whatever works! I do know the canned mixes much better.. those clumps are annoying!

I wish we had liquid concentrate here, the powder is a faff to mix and the ready to feed liquid costs a fortune

MANNN I always assumed you were from the UK! I never looked! Well good to know, lol!!

Ps I put her back onto the concentrate mix rather than powder.. her poo is normal again
