I had a scan at 21 weeks and the doctor noted calcifications in the liver with no other abnormalities noted anywhere else. His thought at this time was it was 1) nothing, 2) cystic fibrosis, 3) Downs or 4) an infection. We did bloodwork for all options and everything came back negative.
Went back yesterday at 23 weeks for a follow up and got a different doctor who said that given the number of calcifications that it could be nothing or could be something major - even possibly ending in a still born. Really he had to say that.
Basically we won't know if the baby is ok until delivery.
So we left there feeling completely lost, confused and scared.
Anyone else had this? Ours is limited strictly to the liver and no where else.
