Hey everyone.. my last LMP was Oct 27th. I got a positive preg test on 12/3. My cycles are on average about 23 days or so long. I went to the dr on 12/11 and all they did was take some blood and confirm via HPT that i am preg. they did not even take an HCG blood test even though i asked them to!! my progesterone levels came in at 6.7 and they said that was FINE!! i was soooo angry, because i know that is very low. so i consulted with my friend's dr and after i explained my situation, they told me to start taking my left over progesterone suppositories (i used them while ttc after m/c previously) immediately!!
I had an appt with the new dr 12/17 to draw blood. Prog had risen to 14 and hcg was at 8,5xx. had an US on 12/19 which should have put me at 7.5 weeks, but the dr said he could only see a "nice gestational sac measuring 5.5 weeks and a good looking yolk sac"... he was in a bit of a rush i think because the hospital had just called him in to deliver a baby. but he said he was not sure if he could see a fetal pole or heartbeat... he said he could "maybe" see one but he was not 100% sure.
So i go back tomorrow for an OB physical (i was supposed to have one last week but had to reschedule due to inclement weather) and i was told no US will be performed but they will try to listen for a HB via doppler. and then i go for an US on thursday.
So my question is.... have any of you been in this situation where you measured about 2 weeks earlier... and have had the pregnancy be successful?? based on my prev m/c (i have never made it this far except with my daughter though) i am so very scared that maybe the baby is not growing properly. I guess it is possible i OV'd late, but based on what they are saying, i would have conceived after i was supposed to start my last period and i would have gotten a Pos HPT at 9 dpo. I just don't think that is too likely.
PLEASE share experiences because i'm over here freaking out!!
