LO is on 5oz feeds, and she probably has 6 feeds a day.

Yesterday I found she was a little dehydrated (the soft spot on her head was sunken, and I know that's a telltale sign), so I gave her camomile tea between feeds. I know giving liquids other than formula is debated here, so I'll say that I've done this on the advice of the MWs, ,and I will do it 1 or 2 hours before her next feed, but no closer because I don't want her getting full before a feed. She may have missed a couple of ounces of her feeds over the entire day yesterday, but she will do that even if she doesn't have tea.

Today I haven't given her any liquid other than during her feeds, because she doesn't seem dehydrated anymore. She had a feed at 9am and only had 3oz, then I fed her again at 1pm, and again only had 3oz. Already in two feeds she's had a total of 4oz less than she usually has.

I know the weather can be a factor, but it's not hot here today, and we haven't left the house, and it's quite cool inside anyway. I don't want to forcefeed her if she doesn't want it. I had to really struggle to get the last ounce into her at 1pm, so I'm not about to try to get another 2oz in her when she obviously doesn't want it.

I'm not too worried at the moment, but just wondered what your thoughts were, and if you have experienced a sudden loss of appetite.
