Local anaesthetic at dentists in second trimester safe?

im sure its fine if he says its okay, but i personally wouldnt do it just because im a worry wort

Hi its me again!Hope your well!
I had my tooth drilled last tuesday all went fine but since every now and again I have had more toothache and today it has got so bad I feel sick its the same tooth I dont get it the dentist said when he drilled that it wasnt as deep as he thought and the nerves werent exposed so I dont get why im in so much pain when its been filled and just wondered whether you knew why and minded helping me?

I am a dental nurse and we routinely use anaesthetics on patients without worry.

I would happily have treatment done and obviously i am pregnant too!

The anaesthetic comes out of your system within a couple of hours xxx

my dentist told me that drilling a tooth is the same as taking a pneumatic (?) drill to your leg bone, and you should expect toothache after obviously! lol mine didn't hurt even for a second though personally but my DH's tooth killed when he had his done :flower: xx

ive had one done when i was in second tri. i didnt react well to it. Ive had my tooth completely drilled out without pain releif too, that actually wasnt too bad.
