lochia or infection?

My lo is 3months old,and I've had the lochia turn from a heavy bloody discharge right after giving birth,to pink then slightly yellowish.when it became yellowish at around 6weeks,I noticed an odd smell if I didn't bathe for more than 6hours.so I was constantly taking a shower which helped with the smell.I asked the MW at my 6weeks check up and she said it normal and its the smell of the lochia.it smelled like when you haven't bathe in a while.

Now at 3 months I still don't see my discharge as normal.its still slightly yellowish but also with a faint tinge of green.and it smells foul if I don't bathe for more than 12 hours.
Is that normal?
How are/was your discharge?

Mine had all stopped by 6 weeks and normal periods/discharge had returned.

Anything green is rarely healthy and strong smell is also a bad sign. Book with your doctor to get it checked. Hope it gets better soon.

SAME WITH ME! Smells like you are describing. I was so busy that I figured I'd wait it out, and if I got a fever then call my doctor.

When I stopped bleeding, the smell was fine. It is only when I am bleeding. I think (logically) if I had an infection then it would smell all the time.

Oh...sorry...I don't have the discharge you described, and I am only five weeks PP, but I do have that smell when I bleed. I'd ask the doctor again?

I do hope its not an infection.but I am wondering where I would have gotten an infection.it will have to be during labour,but my tear healed properly with no complications.I have sex with OH with condom as I'm not able to take hormonal contraceptives due to PCOS.I think I will ask a doctor when I go back to work.
