Lochia or period! Help me get this

So heres my story i bled for 8 weeks (lochia) then it was light spotting to nothing to light spotting for few weeks after that..then it stopped completely but for only 5 days (i had intercourse in those days)..then i had tiny cramps here and there and i started bleeding again the next day.. Went to the dr yesterday she said everything was clean in there ..and theres no infection no retained placenta, nothing.. she said the spotting was probably cause i started the minipill!
Now i dont know whats the bleeding from! Period or lochia! Please give me ur feed back! id be really thankful
