Long period after cutting down breastfeedingh

So my son is 21 months and about two weeks ago I cut down the breastfeeding so now he only has a couple at night. About 4 days later my period started, which is the first since having him. It has now lasted 13 days, it's light, a lot lighter than normal.
Is this normal? Has anyone else had this?

With DS 1, I had the same issue,it is the messed up hormones really .But for me it was 2 whole months of light period and then it started getting on my nerves .My doctor put me on duphaston to get my cycles back on track and guess what I got pregnant soon after that Duphaston course ended , That one BFP took us by complete surprise !

Me. My last one went on from 18th May until around two weeks ago. It was just brown spotting for the final 1-2 weeks, though occasionally it would turn bright red again for a day or so. It was really weird. I too had cut down on feeds ... it was only my third postpartum period, and now I'm coming on again. Joy! Hope this one behaves itself.
