Hi Everyone!

I'm pretty new to TTC and new to Baby and Bump too.

I'm 29 (as my name maybe suggests!) and have been WTC for ages and ages. We've both been ready but my work has meant we had to hold back.

I'm on CD10 or 11 I think. We started doing the SMEP because I read about it on here and in a weird way it felt like a more relaxing way to go.

Would like to find a buddy.

Rosebud xx

Hello RosePetal29!!

Welcome to the forum! Hubby and I have been trying for a little over 3 years now with no success. We weren't ACTIVELY trying until a year ago. As a result, we started pushing things a little further along. I had my first HSG test this past Friday and needless to say, it was very painful for me! Doctor said my tubes were clear according to the pictures, but said maybe the reason I had so much pain was because there was a blockage. We will be BD'ing starting tonight as my Ovulation date is approaching. We hope this is the key to our baby making success!

I can be your buddy if you'd like :) I am here if you wanna talk!

Yay! It is so good to have people to talk to who understand.

Thanks Karley-Flower! Lots of baby dust right back!

I'd love to be your buddy WinterSong! I'm so sorry to hear that it hasn't happened more quickly for you, but big FX for after the HSG. I had to google that to find out what it meant (still very new to the acronyms) and the first thing I found was a forum with people saying that they'd got pregnant quickly afterward. So that must be a good sign!

We're trying to do the SMEP, but I'm finding the ovulation prediction rather confusing. Just looking at cycle length, I thought I'd ov between day 10 and day 14. But from day 8 I had faint lines, with a line that was not much lighter than the test panel on day 11 (yesterday) and then a really faint line today (day 12). If I don't get my BFP this month I am definitely buying digital tests!

At the moment, I'm feeling pretty upbeat though. Don't want to be lewd, but I'm rather enjoying the increased BDing. I guess if it goes on too long then it might start feeling like something we have to do rather than want to do, but at the moment OH is being really at being very loving.

Lots of luck - talk to you soon!
xx

Good to hear Rosepetal29!!

Keep up the good work and positive attitude! The less it feels like work, the better your chances :)

Hubby and I, unfortunately, never really did BD all in general ( not my doing! lol). He is out of shape and quite frankly..lazy! He does try his best when the time is right though so I will give him that. Would be nice if we would just BD more often for the heck of it! haha.

I actually had to call my doctor today because I came across something that worried me a little. I went to clean up "down there" and found what I can only describe as, wet clumpy toilet paper no bigger than the size of a pea. It had pinkish/grayish/brownish colors all intertwined. Never experienced anything like this before and since I just had the HSG, I am assuming it is the junk that was once taking space in my tubes! He is supposed to call me back about the issue. I hope it is nothing :(

Wintersong - hugs xx Im sure its nothing huni. If it was anything bad im sure it would be accompanied by other stuff too xxx

Given that you've recently had the HSG, then that definitely seems like the most likely thing. Will be keeping fingers crossed for you anyway - hope the doctor called back with reassuring news.

Was your OH looking over your shoulder when you called him lazy? Mine is quite intrigued about what I'm typing away on here!

Hugs and babydust!

Hi hun, I just joined this site today, so I'm new too. Me and my DB have been trying for 2 years now. I'm currently suffering symptoms but as of yet I'm still unsure.... I love the idea of having other people to chat to about this stuff, my DB doesn't seem to get it and I don't have many friends around here any more (everyone moved away with in the past year!)

Hi RosePetal...I've been stalking this site for some time but finally jumped in this week. My DH and I have been TTC for 9 months. It's been a difficult go since we've chosen not to share out plans with anyone, not even family. And, it seems like all the fertile myrtles are everywhere. Nearly all of my girlfriends have recently announced that...oops...after just one try...they're expecting. So...I'm definitely in need of some moral support from ladies who understand the highs & lows of this experience! :)

RosePetal29- No, DH was not watching over my shoulder lol. This is boring stuff as far as he is concerned. :) Ya know, girl talk. The doctor did call me back and said what I was experiencing was the first he had ever heard of any of his patients having, but more than likely it was just the junk that was flushed out. As of today, not having any more dry-like clumps but instead having pinkish tiny globs. Since its pinkish, that would lead me to believe it being fresh...so why? If this goes on, I will have no choice but to go see my doctor for further research.

Cusegal- Sorry you have not yet conceived! You still have 3 more months until you need to really have concerns at least. The average couple have a hard time conceiving the first year. The "oops" crowd are those who don't yet want kids, so they don't have babies on the back of their minds 24/7 like we do haha. Sometimes I wish I had never learned about ovulation *sighs*. Good luck to you and lots of babydust!

Hi EmilyAnne! Hi cusegal!

I know exactly what you mean about Fertile Mrytles! I seem to have watched so many people get pregnant and have babies - some of them by ACCIDENT! All while I was WTC and just desperate to start TTC.:growlmad: I always have very mixed feelings. I am sooooo broody and coo over anything in nappies, but there was always a tinge of sadness and jealousy.

I'm on day 15 and I think that I messed up the ovulation testing. I'm still not sure when I ov'd but I'm pretty sure it has been and gone. (I grabbed OH when he got home from work and said "we may have a couple of fertile hours left. Bed. Now.":blush:) So now I'm in a combination of waiting and still (ov) testing just in case.

I'm totally sympton spotting too: convinced that I have morning sickness, creamy mucus, fatigue and a raised temp. I think it is probably all in my head, but who knows....

Where are you guys on monitoring, testing and charting? I'm thinking of getting a Clearblue Fertility Monitor. Was going to get an OvWatch but it had quite a lot of bad reviews.

:dust:: and :hug:

Hey! Just realised that you're another Brit. I stayed near King's Lyn once doing some volunteering for the RSPB reserve. Ever been?

Hope your symptons (and mine!) end up with a :bfp:

You're so right about talking to people who understand! This place is brilliant - everyone is so friendly and they all have a sense of what it is like.

First off..... :blush:I'm soooo sorry I didnt reply sooner but Im still struggling to work out how to use this site.... Think Ive almost worked out the kinks lol. No, Ive never been to the rspb around here..... But where in hampshire do you live? My sister moved down to basingstoke in feburary this year!

It is nice to talk to people on here, but at the same time Im finding it almost impossible to make "friends". People tend to talk to me but don't stick around much.... Are you finding it any easier on here?

Hi Rosepetal - I only decided to join this site today (I'm a little shy lol) anyway me and my partner have been ttc since January this year its been one hell of a frustrating year so far I've had constant problems since coming off of contraception - We haven't really told many people so it would be nice to have people to talk to about it hence why I have joined this site :)
Take care - sending lots of luck and baby dust your way :dust:

Well I decided to test again this morning, but as I expected :bfn:, so I decided I'd try to cheer myself up buy buying a few more things to my daily tablet intake, and maybe help me get those periods back in check.... I'm now starting vit b complex and epo.... I was already taking folic acid, agnus castus and a prenatal vit..... Maybe somehow this can help me..... Fingers crossed I get a result...... Maybe I can drop a few pounds too.....
